We custom-make our Whippet / Lurcher / Italian Greyhound Design to suit your best mate using the measurements you provide and a side-on photo of your best mate standing.

Harness holes can be added to your coat when we custom-make, this way we can ensure the harness hole is sewn in the correct location.

We know just how much your best mate means to you and that you want them to be kept warm and dry while out and about having fun.

With 27 years of experience, we have many reports of our handmade waterproof dog coats lasting 16 years and more, there's not a breed we haven't handmade for, it's our specialty and something we pride ourselves in.

HOW WE MAKE OUR COATS

We didn't try to reinvent the wheel!!!!

Since 1898 sailors and stockmen of the world have been using Oilskin (also known as Waxed Cotton).

Why? Because no other material quite measures up when it comes to being lightweight, waterproof, pliable and long-lasting. 
TOP QUALITY - MADE TO LAST

Oilskin is simply put: cotton fabric made waterproof using a mixture of wax and oil.

Don't be fooled though, Oilskin can come in various grades of fabric.

We choose Premium black Oilskin with warm Sherpa fleece lining or a cooler option of a Cotton lining.

This design has a stylish collar that matches the lining choice that can be turned up the neck in the event of a downpour.
PERFECTLY DESIGNED FOR BEST FIT

Our manufacturing process involves internal and external stitching.
Yes, it takes longer but, as the name suggests, we are fair dinkum about quality!

Velcro in the neck and stomach allows for plenty of adjustment. The velcro has been doubled on the stomached strap for extra strength and longevity.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR COAT IN GOOD CONDITION

One of our customers tells the story about her coat going missing for a few months.

She literally found it by digging it up in the garden, gave it a wash, a re-oil, and the coat is still in use to this day 16yrs later.

Excellent Product and service

Warm & Cosy Manchester Terrier

We have always found it difficult / impossible to find coats that would suit Jarvis (Manchester Terrier) due to his body type being similar to Whippets but shorter in the body. The process and discussion with Elise was easy and provided confidence that the custom coat would be a good fit and the coat is an absolute great fit. Provides the cover over his body to keep him warm and cosy on a cold day. The quality is superb and you get what you pay which is a very well made coat that will stand up to the punishment a dog can put them through and will last for years.

Beautifully made, fits like a glove

We purchased the custom fit with cotton lining for our Italian Greyhound x Jack Russell after having problems finding a coat that fit his weird dimensions properly. So happy with our decision. Fair dinkum dogs have done a fantastic job in such a short turn around, we were really impressed. Quality is exceptional and really worth the price paid. Having a choice of where to place his harness opening was also a plus. We can all look forward to wet weather outings from now and for many years to come.

Fantastic quality, fast service

This coat has certainly exceeded my expectations. Great quality and fits very well. My whippet actually stayed out in the light rain today today in his coat, instead of the usual stopping with a "get me home now" look and a refusal to go any further. It has been great over the past week keeping him warm in the winter weather and I would highly recommend.
