 * Greyhounds and Whippets need to be measured differently, please go to greyhound / whippet coat to find instructions. Any other breed please follow the below instructions:

  1. Neck measurement: Measure round the thickest part of the dogs neck where the coat will do up. Keep measuring tape flush with skin. (When measuring please take notice of the diagram and exactly where the line is showing to measure.)
  2. Back measurement:
Measure your dog from where neck measurement was taken from along the spine to top of tail. Please take notice of the examples given below
  3. Chest: Measure behind the front legs around the chest keeping tape flush with skin.
  4. Girth measurement: Measure around the smallest section of stomach. If a male please measure between penis and last rib keeping tape flush with skin.

When measuring your dog, your tape measure should be flush with the skin to give the correct measurements of your dog. When we make the coat belt, the girth measurement is used to allow for your dog's weight to alter, if necessary.
